About the company

A Victorian food supply business with one job: keeping shelves and kitchens stocked.

Sui Sui Foods Pty Ltd is an Australian registered proprietary company trading from Victoria. We buy food lines in volume, hold them properly, and move them to the businesses that sell or cook them.

What we are

A wholesaler, not a broker.

We take title to the stock we sell. That means we carry the buying decision, the storage cost and the responsibility for condition — and it is why we are careful about which lines we put on the list in the first place.

The range is built around the categories that turn over in Victorian grocery and foodservice: sauces and pastes, noodles and rice, dried and canned goods, snacks and confectionery, and a frozen range for kitchens that prep ahead.

Our customers are independent supermarkets, Asian grocers, convenience retailers, restaurants, takeaway kitchens and caterers. Most of them are small businesses, which is why we quote in case and pallet quantities rather than insisting on container loads.

How we work

Three habits we do not trade away.

Wholesale food is a business of small margins and short shelf lives. These are the practices that keep both under control.

We qualify the supplier first

A manufacturer is assessed on specification, pack format, labelling and consistency before a first order is placed. A cheap line that fails on the shelf costs the retailer more than it saved us.

We keep the cold chain closed

Chilled and frozen product stays under temperature control from receipt to delivery, and product that cannot be shown to have stayed there does not go out on a run.

We record the batch

Batch and date codes are captured at receipt and again at pick, so a line can be traced to its consignment and withdrawn quickly if a supplier ever raises an issue.

Where we deliverVictoria

  • Melbourne metropolitan — inner, eastern, southern, northern and western suburbs
  • Greater Melbourne fringe — outer growth corridors on scheduled runs
  • Regional Victoria — consolidated deliveries to regional centres
  • Customer collection — by prior arrangement for booked orders

Delivery frequency depends on the run and the order size. Ask us what the schedule looks like for your suburb.

Where we operate

Victoria first, and properly.

We would rather serve one state well than spread a delivery schedule so thin that nobody can rely on it. Our runs are built around Melbourne and the Victorian regional centres, and we plan the week around them.

That focus is also what lets us answer the questions wholesalers usually cannot: whether a line is in stock today, when the next delivery reaches your suburb, and what the pack format actually is before you commit to an order.

If you are outside Victoria, write to us anyway — we will tell you honestly whether we can serve you rather than take an order we cannot deliver on.

Responsibility

Food safety and labelling are the baseline, not a selling point.

We handle food that ends up on a family's table, so the obligations that come with that are treated as a floor rather than a feature. Our receiving, storage and picking procedures are written to align with the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code, and product information — ingredient statements, allergen declarations, country-of-origin marking, date coding and nutrition information — is checked before a line is offered for sale.

If you need documentation for a line you buy from us, ask. We would rather send you the paperwork than have you guess.

Thinking about a second supplier?

Send us the categories you buy and the suburb you trade in. We will tell you what we carry, what we do not, and when we could deliver.
